House Bedlam Annual 4th of July Party
Jul. 3rd, 2005 08:34 pmMark and I are hosting the party this year. usually our friendsMichael and Tammy do, but Michael is trying to do some organization-type stuff at their house, so they decided not to hold it at their home this year.
I'm taking a brief break from the party because I'm feeling hot and sticky (despite the air conditioning!), and I wanted to retreat to my bedroom for a bit.
Donna's got the ice cream maker going, and the rest of us are talking about things ranging from politics, to Pern fandom, to computer viruses, to cat health. It's fun!
The snacks have been gutted, and it's only 8:30pm! Tammy baked a blueberry pie, and Sue made a 4th of July cheesecake topped with blueberries and strawberries done in a pattern of an American flag. Very neat!
I'm glad we decided not to buy any Hornsby's hard apple cider, because we wouldn't have had room for it in the refrigerator. Speaking of drinks,![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
moonwolf41 brought some delicious blackberry mead!
