Celtic Woman: The concert was held at what used to be Houston's Music Hall but is now the Seraphine Theater. Celtoc Woman was great! It's four women who sing, in different styles, with a back-up band and back-up singers. They do all sorts of stuff, from traditional Celtic, to Enya covers, to Italian songs (not a good accent, but well sung), and original songs. There was music I was dying to dance to, and my favorite instrumental, "Morrison's Jig." Lovely stuff! Mark and I had a great time.

Movie: Mark, Tom, and I went to see Thank You For Smoking. It is a hilarious movie, something of a satire about political lobbyists. Much fun!

After the movie, we had dinner at Collina's, a wonderful Italian restaurant. Then we went to Barnes & Noble.

Books: I bought Hawksong by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes, Mystic and Rider by Sharon Shinn, and Dog Warrior by [livejournal.com profile] wen_spencer. I actually went to the bookstore because I wanted to buy A Brother's Price by Wen, but they didn't have it in stock, so I'll order it from Amazon, instead.

I actually found Hawksong in the juvenile section.
