Monday at Home

I finally got my pedicure done today. I was beginning to think it would never happen, and in fact, it was done an hour late because their pedicurist had called in to say she'd be late. But at least it's done now, and the lady did a good job.

I walked over to Wal-Mart and looked at purses. They do have some I'm considering. They're not quite as much to my liking as my current purse, but their lining appears sturdier, so I'm thinking I'll go back over there in March to buy one.

Writing: I am going to rework the Dakmiri as a nomadic or semi-nomadic society rather than as a medievalesque, landed one. That will make their contempt of farmers more consistent--they refer to them as 'dirt-grubbers.'

I know it's certainly possible for an upper class to have little regard for the lower classes it depends upon, but I'd like for the Dakmiri to be a little more honest with themselves than that.
