Anousheh Ansari - Book Signing

Mark and I and our friend Donna went to a book signing today by Anousheh Ansari, who has co-written a book with Homer Hickham called My Dream of Stars. Ansari helped fund the Ansari X-Prize competition a few years ago, the one that Burt Rutan's company won with its vessel Spaceship One. She is the first female commercial space traveler. Ansari runs Prodea Systems, a technology company worth $750 million.

I had expected to find a mile-long line at the Barnes & Noble we went to, but we were able to meet her and get our books signed startlingly quickly. I hope more people came by over the two hours she was there.
